What Can We Say?
More of our brothers and sisters are committing suicide, more are becoming addicted to drugs, more are cheaping themselves (Taylor Swift video),...What's going on with our communities? It doesn't matter if they're rich or poor...Yeah, I know that it happens in all communities, but it seems like every time we get two steps ahead, something happens that puts us 4 steps back.
I know it's Black History Month, but where is the cohesion that should bring us together? BTW, two suicides happened in my community, and crime in all categories is up. Where is the respect for each other?
And yeah, I've been in other communities. We're going downhill more quickly.

Re: What Can We Say?
It's sad that one of the reasons our people contemplating suicide won't go to a professional for help is because it will permanently be on their record and affect future employment or to volunteer.

Re: What Can We Say?
All medical, psychiatric and substance abuse treatment encounters are confidential, unless the patient gives written consent to release the information.

^...or there is a legal reason to release them, or if for insurance/work purposes you're asked about that aspect of your health. In short it's confidential unless they say it isn't.
