Hello to all! I've been lurking on this forum for about a week, just joined today. I recently decided to grow my relaxer out, my hair has been consistently relaxed since my early teens. I am transistioning with the ultimate goal of wearing locs. In the meantime, I'm researching the locking process and maintenance, and how to take care of my hair as I transistion from relaxer to natural. The relaxed hair will be gone eventually, but I'd much prefer it be on my terms, by cutting it when I'm ready, vs it breaking off or coming out.

This is a major change for me, relaxed hair is all I know, but I'm excited and looking forward to being more of who I truly am, if that makes sense to anyone besides me lol. Thanks for the warm welcome for the newbies!
