I think someone somewhere lied to her but there are southern Italians that I would swear are black because their Moorish ancestry shows all over their faces so I suppose it's possible.

My mother was that light and we lived in L.A., so there were a few incidents where a Latina would approach her and there would be some friction as my mom spoke not a lick of Spanish. Race is a fluid thing at the margins for sure.

However, as she says, it still doesn't compare to the Rachel Dolezal case because only one lied. The lie for this woman, if this story is true, is with the people who adopted her. I'd be curious what a DNA test has to say about her genetic makeup though. He birth mother could have been fooling around. That's more than enough to inspire a man to leave.

I saw the video before I read the article and was like, "Nope...she ain't white..."

The article (can't find it right now) said that she was biracial, the product of an affair her mother had while separated from her husband. One of the conditions of their reconciliation was that they give the child up for adoption. The fact that she was adopted by a black family all but proves that she's part-black because wasn't nobody going to give a white child to a black family in the 1940s. Hell...they'll barely do that now...everybody knows "transracial adoption" usually means white parents...
