I want a barber that cuts women's hair in a feminine way for 15 bucks or less. I'll tip. My hair is growing out and it's more than pinchable. I want my baldie back. Baa--aaaaldie!

In November my Dr had me do a Venofer series (iron infusion). I'm pleased to report it must have worked. My follow up appt isn't until Feb so I don't have numbers but my nails looks normal again and are back growing and slowly but surely my hair is coming back to life. Bald spots are filling in, density is returning (my hair strands have always been fine but I've always had a lot of them) and I might even be starting to see some growth. I don't know for sure on that last part, time will tell. I can definitely say I'm seeing less breakage. I'm going to get a Steam treatment and a good trim and see what happens from there. Yay. I'm very happy.

I don't want to cut my hair off, but I wish I didn't have to think about it. At all.

I understand this is why wigs exist...at least that's what some wig wearers have told me...

    --
So I tried the Camille Rose Naturals products last weekend and although it's a little early to say this...I think I'm in love. Not only did my hair feel and look great, I think (as others have said) the extra oils contributed to my having noticeably less shrinkage than usual.

Unfortunately, as is the case with KCKT/KCCC (another mostly-natural product combo), the WNG lasts me about 3-4 days before it's time for a redo. I keep trying to half-azz this since I don't want to take the extra time in the morning but it's not working so...I'm going to do my normal weekend wash and then in the middle of next week I'm going to co-wash my hair at night, let it dry overnight in twists, rewet in the morning and apply stylers then. I know I'm going to need to let it sit for at least an hour before blow-drying and I also know that I'm going to have to blow-dry on low speed if I don't want my hair to look like I did nothing to it.

So it's going to be a time commitment but I'm not willing to cut it down further...at least not yet...
Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

*Looks at LBellatrix's answer, wonders if they make wigs big enough to fit my noggin*

Find a barber who's work you like and take a picture with you, preferably of someone who's cranium is similar to yours and be clear when telling him what you want. I personally find natural hairlines to be more feminine.

Since I have to rely on public transportation for the time being, I simply cannot leave the house without something on my head. Several layers in fact. So I have a morning ritual that involves getting to work early enough to do my hair. I go up to the 6th floor where I'm not likely to run into anyone that early in the morning and do my hair. That's been true until lately — for some reason there's been more traffic in that restroom than usual. Oh well. It's gotta be done.

Just unbraided and combed my hair for the first time since I did my tea treatment. I'd say there was about 1/3 less shedding than the last time I finger-combed my hair and the strands felt thicker than usual. I'm going to do another treatment today and see what happens.

I'm very interested in finger combing, but I don't think tonight's the night for it. I don't seem to have the time or patience.

And what doesn't, so growing it out would probably be easier this time.
So sorry your health issues are interferring with your hair. Did you get your hair cut? how's it doing?
