Default Re: Detangling inside shower vs outside shower?

Definitely detangle out of the shower! It is soOo much easier!

Since I have my hair in two strand twists (but now transitioning to locs), my hair is already sectioned.

    Here are my steps below:

Make sure to undo each twist (mini twists) one at a time and work your way through your whole head.

    1) Undo twist
    2) Spray with water
    3) Add conditioner to the hair (cowashing)
    4) Work the conditioner into your hair and finger detangle. You can also use a comb or a brush if you are super picky about being "thorough"
    5) Leave the conditioner in and twist the hair back up.
    6) Move on to the next twist and repeat 1-5.

Now if you have loose hair, you can do the same thing but just leave the hair loose and clip it instead of twisting it. You can also twist the hair so that you have no more than 8-10 large twists and wash the conditioner out this way.

I do not like rinsing product out of my hair when it is completely loose, as not all of my hair gets wet or fully soaked like it needs to.

    I hope this helps!

I've found it easier to detangle outside the shower otherwise, it takes over an hour to detangle my hair. At least that way I'm not in a rush and can detangle more carefully and can cut away any fairy knots.
