Madonna started off well with the props, but it was a downward slope thereafter... with her Thriller images. The mute knew that was a disaster. Stevie saw it coming and tried to salvage the damage. I can't believe I stayed up for it. In my mind I justified Madonna being emotional, when it was probably a last minute thingy.
