    Default Loving crochet braids

After my bc I decided to put in crochet braids (something I only realized existed a couple of weeks ago). My first reaction after they were done and I looked in the mirror was wow...big hair...so I pinned the sides a bit to get used to the fullness and now I'm loving them. It's been 5 days and I plan to keep them in for 5 weeks then wash and con hair and redo. Enjoying this new adventure

    Hi Island Princess,

I have been using CB for months now, redoing them every 6-8 weeks. I went to the hair store and asked them for hair that is suitable for CB and I just bought what they told me there. I have never heard of using glue. It stays in because it's threaded with the crochet type hook, but after a few weeks I tend to lose 1 or 2 braids. I keep my hair moist by spraying with a mixture of water, leave in conditioner, coconut oil, castor oil and peppermint essential oil. I also use other things but all in the same spray bottle, give it a shake and spray every 2/3 days. I wash only once during these 6-8 weeks. When I take them out I deep con first before putting them in again. I will use the braids till spring then wear my hair out. It will be 20 months natural by the time I do.
