I am still in denial about the whole thing...

I understand that there have been movements going on to collectively support black businesses and so on since before the election, but I'm wondering if the election results can be used as another "push". Whatever icky-ness follows he-who-shall-not-be-named's inauguration, we've seen that black people are, in fact, capable of achieving greatness and setting up our children for success.
The average black person does not need to run for office but should feel like we can live comfortably and make the most of our lives.

Are the majority of black people in the U.S. aware of our spending power? There's so much potential!
Look at this website, for example. IMO it played a pivotal role in black women embracing their natural aesthetic, promoting the normalcy of kinky hair and promoting the success of (black-owned?) natural hair product lines.

Like Hadasah have touched on... I for one am looking forward to this election being the catalyst to fully connect the black community (and black dollars) together. We are a very welcoming and accepting people - and with that, we have no issues in using our money and buying properties where are the very limited minority and frankly not really wanted (but those dollars are).

Maybe, just maybe we will start to see a stronger unity with our massive financial power.
