Question What are your hair goals / problems?

    Hi everyone ,

What are you working on with your hair right now? Or is it smooth sailing?

For me it’s smooth sailing but never dull! My advice for newbies is to set goals but make small ones you can achieve. If you set goals too high too early you may end up disappointed and discouraged. Little steps are just as important as the big ones. 😊

Well, I had some really bad breakage and shedding late last year that I finally got under control. My diet was not that great and I was neglecting my hair. So I cut a lot of it off in February or March (can't remember) and started giving it more TLC. I'm eating better too. My hair wasn't long - just a medium afro that I cut into a TWA. I'm almost back to my medium afro and my goal is a BAA. I real big one!!

I don't have any current problems, but I'm aware that things will likely get tricky sooner or later as I get farther into my transition from relaxed hair to my natural hair. My goal right now is just to keep as much hair on my head as possible until I have enough new growth to cut the relaxed hair off and start locs. It's past my shoulders currently and reasonably healthy; wanting to keep as much hair on my head as possible while I transition is more about keeping it healthy than the length.

My hair goal is to reach at least 3 inches below my shoulder and be able to manage my frizzy hair!

My goal is to get rid of the heat damaged hair that I still have. If I cut it off my hair will be extremely uneven. Im slowly trimming it away. My main hairstyle now is two strand twists. So doing those and using rollers on the ends helps to blend the straight hair in with my natural hair.

I have a few problems and a couple goals.

    1) Breakage is starting to concern me. My hair is very thick, but it's starting to break off quite a bit so I want to heal my hair by adopting a consistent moisturization regimen.

    2) Speaking of a regimen, the back of my hair seems to be low porosity, so moisturizing the back of my hair is overwhelmingly difficult. I just need to figure out a hair regimen that moisturizes my whole head, not just the front.
