What's the biggest natural hair "rule" the you break?
I know there are quite a few faux pas in our natural hair world, but are there just any that try your hardest you can't seem to break?
Mine is sleeping with something satin. My fatigue gets the best of me and I drop in to bed. Its sooo bad. But I do try. I really do.

Re: What's the biggest natural hair "rule" the you break?
I don't comb from ends to root. I start at the root get about a quarter of the way down then comb from ends to root. I also don't deep condition. EVER. I don't have that kind of time. I try to make my whole hair routine less then 2hrs.

I don't deep condition, and I don't have a routine. I just do whatever I feel like doing, whenever.

Re: What's the biggest natural hair "rule" the you break?
My 'routine' is shorter than ever now.
I use natural box braids as a protective style so I literally cowash, apply leave-in, oils (occasionally not always), and go about my day. I don't have much of a multi-step routine.

I don’t do low manipulation: I have hand in fro disease. I’ve been trying to be better with the satin thing recently.

Re: What's the biggest natural hair "rule" the you break?
I haven't popped my locks in years/ and I use a blow dryer to get the initial wet off my locks.
...say something.

Re: What's the biggest natural hair "rule" the you break?
I stopped believing in rules some time ago. Whatever works for you and your hair is good enough. Also, what may be a NEVER to one person may be an ALWAYS to someone else.
My hair is 4b/4c/4a in that order and I wet-style pretty much exclusively. I prefer to call it "wet-styling" as opposed to "WNG" because currently my hair's too long and my shrinkage is too extreme to just wash and go. I prefer to stretch the top out via Sprangz (air-drying) and/or tension blow drying.
Judging from some of the reactions I've gotten over the years, I'd say I've broken a couple of rules with this. Funny though how a year from now my stretched hair will be SL and some of these same folks will be like...how'd you do that?Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

I don't wash my hair that often so it doesn't get too frizzy...

Using a beach towel to soak up excess water. It cuts down my drying time.
