Hello All!!!

I found Nappturality back in 2007 when I stopped relaxing my hair. I was on the site religiously until I found my mojo and I could care for my hair myself. I have been natural since December 2007 when I did the big chop. I have not looked back. Life just took over and I am so proud to be back here with you all. The site is beautiful and I am ready to link up with my natural peeps!!!

I guess I should add that my hair journey has not been stressful thanks to the information on Nappturality. I did a lot of research before I attempted to do anything with my natural hair. My current issues with my hair is thinning due to multiple medications and treatment for systemic lupus. It is aggravating and frustrating. I just did a big chop back in January and the bald spot have grown in but my hair is not thick like I want it. I know that there is information on this site and I cannot wait to find it. Anyone else struggle with hair loss or shedding or falling out due to a chronic medical condition or treatment? I feel so alone in this. I should say also that I do not have any follicle damage (so my dermatologist tells me) that is why my hair grows back when this happens.

Yes I have suffered hair loss. It was drastic for me and it happened a month or so after I had a general anesthetic. So you are definitely not alone with medical induced hair loss. Have you checked into the Alopecia forum? There is a lot of info in there.
