Default Help me decide the best route

What are the pros and cons of the various loc starter methods. Which is least damaging to hair . I'm about to start my 3rd journey. First set was cool but too small Second set. , They were breaking off ( this sort of Intertwine with the first question . But I have additional questions

1.Can lack of rountine mantainace cause your locs to weaken and break.
    2. What actions cause the least resistance in regards to starter method, size and maintenance.
I'm trying to put myself in the best possible situation, and stability Obviously there are other moving parts , but for the sake of argument , I am refering to the aforementioned. So in other words vanity isn't an issue

It's the best route for YOU. And it really is a self-finding process from starting to maintenance. This may help, it's hard to find time to write out a long post, so i compiled some research into an e-book that addresses lock maintenance and choice of install.

I appreciate the response and resource. All that notwithstanding, I'm simply asking for general opinions And for the sake of arguments , let's say everything is equal. I will ask in another way.( and I know we going in circles)
Would you say the eventual results are affected by that person hair type in regards to starting method. Also which starter method generally affect or impead large locs. (Hypotheticaly if it was specifically your head, all the things you know considered) Definitely I will imerse myself into your link and thank you.

Edit : this question is for anyone in general.

Have you started your locs yet?

I started mine with loose 2strand twists. It was the best way for me. I did not want to put the stress of retwisting on my hair and scalp, and the 2st held well. The only maintenance I do is washing and plopping. My locs are strong and healthy.

The difficulty in getting an answer is you're asking "how long is a piece of string?". The answer is dedendand on a whole list of things, there isn't a single best method. There are methods that best suit an individual, when taking into account a whole list of things. E.g. preferences, lifestyle, hair texture, hair lenth, personal preferences (in several areas)

    There's no magical answer.
