    Default SOOO Mad

I called myself protective styling with some crochet locs.
Went to a friend of my mothers and I should have KNOWN it was gonna be a mess.

When she braided my hair, my scalp was on fire. I kept telling her and she ignored me each time. But I was trying to be nice because this was a friend of my mother.

THEN, she sewed the braids up and it was hell taking it down!

Then it was all so tight I had to take pain killers for a week.

So after taking out the locs, cutting out the thread (which resulted in some of my hair getting clipped, and taking out the braids, which has started matting (after 5 weeks)- my hair was super matted and sticky. And I already lost SO MUCH hair, like piles of it.

    I can't, I just can't.

I'm so sorry this happened to you.
It's just so very extra. I'm helping my mom get some mess out of her head.

    There really is.

But you know what i've noticed? Anytime I try to get a service at a salon I'm always just really unhappy. Maybe i've become hard to please but I always am very explicit in what I want and show examples and they always DONT do what I ask. Like its as if they really only want my money and could care less about anything else.

The style itself was nice. Very bulky but she might have just done too many. But the look- i liked.

You see I'm not interested in having to daily style my hair.

I'm so sorry that happened to you BeautifulBrown. I'm there with the hair braiding salon. I wanted a nice cornrow style with feed in braids that I could wear to an interview. I took a picture and showed the braider what I wanted. Not only did she NOT part my hair like the picture, she installed the feed in hair so far away from the start of each braid, in spots I literally looked bald.

Now here's my question. If you cannot duplicate the style in the picture you asked me to bring, why ask me to bring it in the first place.

To top that off, the style itched, was hard to sleep in and so after not quite two weeks, I had take that mess down. Ended up wearing a puff to my interview, the very style I've been wanting to get away from because the constant combing over the past six years or so has wrecked havoc on the health of my hair. $65 down the drain.

I would like to get my hair healthy again, but that requires to much care and energy and I just don't have the time or inclination to put that much effort into it.

I'm currently toying with the idea of coloring my hair to get rid of the grey so that I can buy a puff and keep my hair in a protective style. Right now, I cannot find a puff that is both my hair color AND grey hair. But on the other hand, I really don't want to color my hair because that would require maintenance. Uggghhh!

I'm so sorry about your experience, you have t be so careful with whom you allow to do your hair. I've come to a place where I primarily do my own hair and just try to navigate the natural hair products, natural hair accessories are also great tools if you ever get to a place where want to do your own hair the majority of the time and you just want different ways to dressup the hair and have fun with it. I have to say its way more fun doing your own hair and using accessories, you can also use it when creating your own protective styles or braided styles, heres a blog post on natural hair accessories and braided styles: http://amtuhairtools-4720193.hs-site...sfp=2673893155
