Default "Nappily Ever After" is on Netflix now

It only took them EIGHTEEN FREAKING YEARS (the book came out in 2000)...

Oh, and because of the film, apparently the natural hair movement is taking off...

    FWIW, I liked it.

Yeh, it’s interesting to see another generation of naturals emerging into consciousness. I wish I had the interest to plug in, not so much so far. I have articles hitting my inbox on FB as people discover new versions of rehashed information that’s already be cultivated. I’m like, thank you....yup commercial products ARE full of toxins...yup been preaching this for yrs. I should re-share but I don’t. This is generation3/4 and I’m tired, lol, is that bad?

On another note, I enjoyed the movie. It’s also cute to see Sanaa and other stars discover their roots and embrace them. Good for them! Happy! Each journey is unique and perfectly timed for that person. ..but 18 yrs....with this trajectory Nappturality is bound to rebound and we are becoming matriarchs of the 2/3rd generation post the 1970s awakening...interesting to ride the cycle of life.

The movie was cute but a bit outdated and should have came out years ago.

You know... I tried to get excited but it seemed a bit stale to me. I'm glad it got airtime because I applaud seeing sistas on the screen whenever possible and natural sistas are alway on my LOVE list. I wish it had come out years ago. The natural movement is entrenched and not as edgy as it was when we started out.

I haven't see the movie yet. Sanaa's hair looks lovely though. As far as the current generation/movement of naturals, I'm going to sit this one out and allow them to find/figure out things on their own. There is a lot of information that has already been posted all over the net, folks are finding it and will continue to do so.
