It has been a little while since I have been here - it has been so hard to concentrate on anything for very long. This is overwhelming but I will be keeping everyone up to date and even will sit down and put some thoughts down and pictures together.

Aww Dee, I think of you every-time i see a news report on these fires and hoped you lived far from the danger zone. My prayers are up! ����

We have some decent rain and moisture in the air right now I cannot TELL you how much of a relief it is. I have been in a fire emergency before, back in 2003. But this was like nothing on Earth. And it went on and on, for weeks on end. Fire everywhere. If this is a harbinger of what climate change is doing to the planet, God help us.

The other thing is, our ecosystems have collapsed in many areas, species have disappeared, the food chain is broken, so the ramifications are only just beginning.

My heart aches for our planet. I saw how the smoke is spreading across the earth. This is so devastating and it's awful.
