Sisterlocks transition to 2 strand twist/palm rolling
Hello! I’m a newbie. Have had SL’s for nearly 5 years.
Has anyone transitioned from SL’s to another Lock form? If so, I binned as much information as possible.

Re: Sisterlocks transition to 2 strand twist/palm rolling
Yes, I'v worked with clients that wanted to combine into 2 strand twists and or braids or just combined their SLs to make them thicker. You can latch or palm roll or braid-depends upon the look you want to achieve. It works. No need to start over.

Re: Sisterlocks transition to 2 strand twist/palm rolling
Thank you. I’m considering combining my locks using the 2 strand twist method. Will they automatically fuse together? I think I want to go with the palm roll method so I can easily maintain them myself.

They will fuse at the base when you begin latching them together, I believe you can latch down the loc too, to join them together but it depends on the thickness and tightness of the locs.

Re: Sisterlocks transition to 2 strand twist/palm rolling
You can palm roll. I would also recommend latching the base, 2 strand twist and palm roll from there if you like. BC they're SLs they may be too tight to latch throughout the length of the lock. Palm rolling to maintain should be fairly easy..rubber banding the ends would help accelerate the bonding of the locks.
