Rice water?
A woman I am subscribed to on YouTube recently posted a video on rice water and how it has helped grow her hair. I’m curious about it. Has anyone had any success with it? I’m currently in a TWA stage and looking to get out quick lol.

Re: Rice water?
Be careful. It can be too much protein for MOST. I'm helping a friend who's hair shredded to pcs after using rice water. It became dry and brittle. It's not for everyone.
Be careful with YT advice for hair.

Re: Rice water?
Rice water is just the newest iteration of faddish concoctions to try and improve the condition of your natural hair.
I do not recommend anyone use this homemade concoction on their hair. You cannot regulate the amount of protein, you cannot regulate the bacterial content that blooms over time that can cause infection on your scalp, or impurities present in the water. Also, the protein content can be extremely high and can cause breakage if you overload your hair with it, especially coily hairtypes. If you want to use rice water, just buy a rice water product off the shelf. It will be safer for your hair that way."The truth is, your natural hair, in all its texture, is the hair that is ideal for YOU.."

Re: Rice water?
I used to wash my hair with shungite water. Just pour some after using shampoo. If you're interested, here's a good article https://shungite-c60.com/what-is-shungite/

Re: Rice water?
It can be good for your hair, but I doubt it'll be good for the skin. I'd recommend checking on various blogs like this https://hubpages.com/@maryadeolascott, I bet you'll find a proper solution.

Re: Rice water?
While its benefits for hair remain unproven, using a rice water hair rinse is safe to try at home and may also be used on the skin. It has been found to promote skin health in people with dermatitis.
