    Default Hair Type?

Hi all, I'm new to this board and after some help please 🙏🏾 after years of being natural, I'm still struggling to figure out my hair care needs. Anyone know what my hair type is judging by the pictures please? I know porosity matters more but I'm trying to find someone with hair like mine for hair care advice. Oh I think I'm high porosity too

    Hello and welcome!
Your hair looks beautiful. It is hard to know what your porosity is unless you tell us how your hair reacts to water and products. You have a natural coil/S pattern from what I can see and your hair is fluffy and light. So you look close to my type. I don't put myself into hair categories, but if I had to, I'd be everything from 4a to 4c and everything in between. Most of us don't have a single hair pattern across our entire crowns so you may see different patterns and textures in different areas. That's perfectly normal! If you've got high porosity hair, make sure you seal after moisturizing, with a light oil or pomade to lock that moisture in!

Thank you! That makes sense, my hair seems to get dry pretty quickly and sheds quite a bit. I avoid doing much with my hair as it constantly tangles! Also my hair is quite frizzy. does anyone have any recommendations for deep conditioners? Thanks

Right now I am working with a product called Kinky Curly Knot Today conditioner. So far it has worked really well on my hair both as a leave in or as a deep conditioner.
