IS GLYCERIN CONSIDERED AN EMULSIFIER (WILL IT ALLOW WATER MIXTURES AND OILS TO MIX AND NOT SEPARATE)?

So here is my quirky hair spritz for locs that I call it "Loc 'n' Soft"
using 100% Coconut Water it makes hair sooooooo soft!
I have made some for myself & a friend of mine using Coconut Water from the Coconut and left it overnight to be infused up in Okra seeds, Plantain seeds, fenugreek seeds & flaxseeds.
Added some Chamomile EO to the mix and my hair was the softess ever. I gave some to my friend and his locs were so springie & bouncy with a real nice softness and faint - light scent of Coconut & Chamomile he said that he would do my gardening for a month if I make some more for him.
This is what I did:
1 BIG Coconut
0.5 tsp of each Okra seeds, Plantain seeds, fenugreek seeds & flaxseeds
1 teeeeeennnie drop of Vege-Glycerin
1 teeeeeennnie drop of Sea Kelp
3 drops Chamomile EO or EO of choice
2 drops of Benzoin (preservative & lifts the scent of Chamomile)
- Take a Coconut (shake it first to make sure that there is loads of water in there - do not buy the coconut water BUY the coconut)
- Crack the top of the Coconut open, add the seeds to the Coconut water inside, cover with the lid of the coconut & then again with cling film, leave it (upright) overnight in the fridge for 24 hours.
- Strain the seeds out from the coconut water
- Add the other ingredients and pour into a spray bottle.
HTH
Enjoy and let me know how it feels for you...

Deep Conditioner
Equal parts of the following:
Honey
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Cholesterol w/Tea Tree Oil
Nutress Moisturizing Protein Pack (any protein conditioner will do)
Mix all ingredients together; apply to your hair and sit under the heating cap for 30 mins.
It leaves my hair incredibly soft.

Ok...here is a recipe for a leave in condish that I got from another site and tweeted it for myself
1 cup moisturing condish ( I used Suave Humentiant)
1/2 cup leave in condish (liquidy like Infusium)
1/2 cup oil of choice (i used olive and sweet almond)
2 tblspoons of glycerine
Mix well and pour into bottle...makes about 16 oz of a nice, thick leave in. I used it this morning on my shake and go before a used gel for hold...I have nice hold without the cruchiness that most gels leave! This works much better for me b/c most leave in condish don't do anything for my hairCheck out the blog: http://napskinkscoilsandcurls.blogspot.com/

are these recipes loc friendly? i have waist length locs, and would love to try some of these recipes out. right now i am relying on a routine washing, good diet, and a little bit of olive/coconut/shea butter (whatever is handy at the time) for most of my hair maintenance. any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!
peace

I have a yummy black soap shampoo that has left my hair feeling INCREDIBLE after rinsing. All I need do NOW is find a pretty bottle to put it all in.
1 4 oz bar of black soap
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vinegar
almond extract for fragrance
about 1 1/2 cups of strongly steeped hair tea. I use vanilla and chamomile.
Mix it all together in a 16 oz container. Add water the rest of the way if needed. Allow bar to slowly dissolve, shake, and then pour some out into a smaller bottle for daily use.Visit my blog: fragilehaircare-gilroygal.blogspot.com
I share about my natural hair happenings, lessons, and experiences.

@shortylonglocs
The Loc 'n' Soft recipe is deffinately for locs although I don't have locs I use it all the time.
A close friend does have locs and everytime I see him with a Coconut I know what he's gonna do with it.
He loves the spritz in his locs!
Coconut water - from the Coconut - makes hair soooooooo soft and really moist!
The only problem is that you must make it in small batches & keep it in the fridge & use it up within 2 weeks.
Try this recipe:
Great for moisture - excellent for locs - apply when you do your twists as it will make a twist out look fluffy. Great for the night time plaiters & silk wrappers out there too ... like me
Coconut & Honey Spritz
Equal amounts of
Coconut Water from the Coconut
100% Aloe Vera Juice
Teenie bit of Honey
1 drop of Rosemary or Sage EO
2 drops of Vanilla EO or EO of choice
1 drop of Benzoin to lift the scent of the others and preserve it for a short while.
Pour into a bottle and shake it up  Coconut Water from the Coconut - beautiful stuff!
