Also...I dont know if anyone is interested, but if you have a coconut on hand, boil the meat (the white part) in water...after awhile, the oil will float to the top, and you can skim it off yourself, and keep it in a jar. Voila-pure coconut oil in its liquid form. You may wanna add eo's or other carrier oils to it at this time...

now THAT's cool! i would love to try this myself but i have never seen whole coconut anywhere. maybe the farmer's market or something? is it seasonal?
