    Thumbs up

hey ladies (and gents if any) i read on some other natural website about locing and this lady was so strict about it being okay to wash your hair when you first start the locing process. She says to wash every two weeks, or as often as you like. That doesn't make since to me, because my loctician told me that during my first month of locing i'm not to wash my hair :dunno: -what's accurate information from someone who is loced?

wash when you feel. i washed from the beginning. it really depends on your starting method (coils, twists, braids) or your hair texture.

i think there are almost a hundred threads talking about when to wash. this is a VERY common question. a search would really give you the information you seek.

Yep, I agree. Wash the locs when they start to feel dirty to you. You should be fine. I would refrain from washing too vigorously during the 1st month or so...be gentle with your newly birthed babies but keep 'em clean to keep 'em healthier.

Wash it when it is itching and/or feeling dirty!!!!! I use to be so regimented, not anymore! Today I wash my hair I may do it tomorrow or Thursday just depends how my scalp is feeling. :-)
