derrick does an excellent job. i have gotten coils and another style in an old essence (variation of coils). i've also had two strand twists. i've been happy with the results every time. good luck!

An update:

My girlfriend went to him today to get her locs cut. She is very pleased with her cut, and with his service. She said he was personable, not pretentious at all, and her cut cost her less than she expected. She was comfortable with him, and he answered her questions. She plans to go back for a coloring session. I told her that I would be telling you about her experience there, so she knew I needed her impressions.

All in all, he sounds like a keeper. Go for it. HTH
