When I lived in Florida my Spanish was very good, but since I've moved to MN I've gotten a little rusty since I haven't the opportunity to practice.
I've taken two semesters of French and I'm in my third. Alliance Francaise immersion courses worked well for me to be conversational in French. Berlitz also has a pretty good program.
I also speak Patois which some people joke is a completely different language.

Yeah depending on who you are talking to patois can truly appear to be another language! (lol)

How conversational were you in Spanish? by the time I graduated hs I had 5 years of spanish. I am taking classes at a local cc to try and brush up again but the classes are really basic and I am getting bored.

I'm studying Spanish right now and I'm doing very well. I can now speak in the present and past tenses and I'm understanding about 75% of the Spanish that I read and hear. My only problem is speaking. My accent is horrible and I can't roll my rr's. I'll be in Sp 103 in the fall. After I finish Sp 104 I'll take 206 which is intensive oral practice and start on French.

As far as becoming bilingual I have all sorts of supplementary tools. My Spanish book came with three CD-ROMS and two c.d. to use. I also have Pimsleur's Quick and Easy Spanish, The Rosetta Stone Global Traveler (which has six languages on it), and Instant Immersion Spanish CD-ROMS. Along with three Rush Hour French c.d.s.

When I get far enough in my studies I want to go to school abroad in either France, Spain, or Canada.

Well, i really wanna become fluent in another language (or 2 or 4, lol), but im not in school right now.

A good resource that Im about to try is www.mylanguageexchange.com There you can get an email pal who is trying to learn english and then in turn they teach u the language you wanna learn. And they have an wide array of languages to learn too!

Right now I am not bilingual but I am studying Arabic, French and Wolof. Even if I'm not fluent I would like to be able to communicate in all of them. Right now my French is okay I can at least read at a 5th grade or better level and understand. I can read Arabic but I can only understand about 40% of what I read. For wolof I know how to say hello and that's it :lol:

Lessons are online, very convenient and interesting. No boring cramming, everything is very interesting, they are taught according to modern methods. I recommend
