Anyone Start Loc 1 Yr Or Less After Bc'ing?

I'm thinking about starting Braidlocs around May or July..my natural hair will be a little over a year old by this time. Most of the braidloc albums I have looked have, have been people with longer hair. I just wanted to know if anyone started their braidlocs within a year of becoming natural. Just wanted to see some pictures of starter braidlocs on shorter hair.

I started my bradelocz after being napptural for 16 months. I had comb coils put in shortly after I made the year mark but decided not to start my locs that way.

I started mine with the latchhook, and the time between my braids and locking my hair was 4 days. I transitioned for 8 months with braids, and if you look at my album you can see what it looked like in the beginning.

I went natural in June of '04 and started locking in Nov. of '04
My primary reason for going natural was to lock.

well I didn't start with braidlocs but I started a month after my BC

it was coils but it was enough to braid if I had that type of texture

I started mine w/ about 2 in of hair after the b/c. Must admit did not like the look at first. I has grown on me. In the process of uploading my album hopefully this weekend. If I had it to do all over again. I would have going with two-strand twist. My hair was braided very tight..it still has not matted together for locing.

I started in my eleventh month of my bc i bc'd in April 04 and braided to loc March 26th 05 not too long and not too short it seems to be shrinking but I love and will continue on my way...
