I plan to get my locs in the next six weeks. My ends are really bad. I haven't had them trimmed in over two years. My edges are also broken off from too many braid outs and headwraps. Do I need to cut my hair before I loc?

Okay for now, and until you get your locs done in about six weeks, I advise you to deep condition your hair, and put you hair in a protective style like, two strand twist and leave those head bands alone.
Now, as far as, clipping your ends, I don't think you need to clip your ends, because when you loc your hair, it doesn't matter it you have split ends are not.
However, if your hair is uneven and you want a more even appearance, well, thats something else.
Good Luck and welcome

Thanks I bought some conditioner. I'm kind of dependent on the wraps now because my edges look so bad, but I'll try to go without.
