    Hi ladies,
I really would like to know your response on this. I am going Friday to get my locks started. The girl that is doing them is very skilled. I have seen a couple of heads she has done. The question I have is how is honey wax that much different from beeswax. I don't to have a hard time with wax buildup. To be honest I have never heard of honey wax. What is you take on it and have any of you used it.

i would say use something else. "wax" anything rubs me the wrong way. she shouldn't have a problem with you suggesting she use something else like aloe vera gel or a commercial non flaky non tacky gel--anything but that brown stuff.

The only usage I know of for honey wax is for waxing services (removing unwanted body hair). I have had full leg waxes with the stuff, it's very effective. It's extremely sticky. I can't imagine using it as a hair product.

While she may know her stuff, if I were you, I would insist that she use something else, like aloe vera gel.
    Yes, I can.
