how often do you wash your hair? it sounds like you may need to wash w/ a clarifying shampoo. from my understanding dry shampoo is used for cleaning the scalp and it does not clean the hair like shampoo. you should wash your hair when you feel it is dirty. some wash every wk and others wash q other week. it really depends on how often you think you should wash your hair. i hope this helps.

HELLO PORTIA

MY THOUGHTS ON WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IS TO STOP USING THAT DRY SHAMPOO!!! WHEN I FIRST STARTED MY LOCS(LOC JOURNEY BEGAN ON 1-19-05) I USED THAT DRY SHAMPOO FROM ORS AND BOY OH BOY MY SCALP DIDN'T STOP ITCHING UNTIL I ACTUALLY WASHED IT (WITH DR. BRONNERS PEPPERMINT SHAMPOO). THE SECOND INGREDIENT IN THAT DRY SHAMPOO IS ALCOHOL WHICH AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW IS VERY DRYING TO OUR HAIR. AFTER I INITIALLY USED THIS PRODUCT I WENT ABOUT 5 DAYS AND I HAD TO PHYSICALLY WASH IT AS IF I DIDNT HAVE LOCS. MY SUGGESTION TO YOU IS THAT YOU STOP USING IT AND GET SOME DR. BRONNERS CASTILE SOAP. I WASH EVERY WEEK WITH THAT STUFF AND IT IS THE BOMB!!! I ALSO DONT PUT MANY PRODUCTS ON MY LOCS. IF I USE ANYTHING IT IS EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. I ALSO MAKE THIS SCALP ENERGIZER THAT I GOT FROM MOTOWNGIRL MADE WITH ABOUT 4 OUNCES OF DISTILLED WATER IN A SPRAY BOTTLE WITH ABOUT 7 DROPS OF PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL. I SPRAY THAT ON MY SCALP ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS AND MY SCALP NEVER ITCHES. I LUV THAT STUFF.

I HOPE THIS PLETHERA OF INFO THAT I GAVE YOU HELPS OUT. IM CURIOUS TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR ROUTINE AND HOW IT IS WORKING FOR YOU ...LET ME KNOW!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!
'SHA

The dry shampoo doesn't sound like it's working out too well. Have you tried rinsing between shampoos? I've been rinsing at least every other day and my scalp doesn't itch. I also heard that clean hair locks better than dirty hair. Maybe you should start washing more often as well. A clean scalp is the best environment for healthy hair.
