When I was a newbie done via big chop (9. I rinsed and conditioned my hair every other night.

Now, I no poo every 4-6 weeks. I wear 2 strand twist 100% of the time. I do not rinse daily and I do not spritz daily, it takes too much time. I wrap my hair EVERY night and put a bonnet on top of the scarf. When I wake up I take off the scarf and go. Occassionally I will wear a brastrap headband or a headwrap. Oh, I am also into no oil.

That's it. You can look at my picture's on my site. Click on the www.

    Here is my regimen,

:violin I just started the no-poo routine. I no-poo once every two weeks, unless I put too many hair products in my hair :doh and have to do a wash before the two weeks have ended. Before I began the no-poo routine I used a castile soap based-cleanser.

After washing and detangling my hair (using a knock-off denman brush), I put a moisturizer throuhout my entire head (I have been using CDHHB). From this point I separate my hair into three sections - ponytails or braids and style. Sometimes I keep it in the sections over-night (braided if I want to stretch my hair).

I sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet depending on the style. I try to do styles that will last until my next wash. I try even harder to keep the styles in, I love doing my hair! Twists are my favorite

BTW: I am going to put thighslikewhat's Rosemary Growth Spritz into my regimen also. I am waiting for my products to arrive. :rolleyes

Ok well USUALLY this is how it goes.

I conditioner wash and braid over night. Let it go in the morning (if it's dry) and wear my hair "out" Puff or afro with an accessory or something. Then I like to get a style like braids or cornrows in the front, or twists. fter twists I wear a twisout for close to a week and then the cycle starts all over.

Now realistically this isn't going to happen in this order religiously. That's why I don't try to stick to it like the bible. Things come up where you gotta do different things to your hair. Plus I like to deep condition a whole lot so after deep conditioning I do a shake and go

I wash and condition my hair once per week then I twist it ( 2 strands). I used to use a protein gel but I switched to olive oil creme.

Every night before bed and every morning I put a little jojoba oil on my hair with a little olive oil or carrot oil creme.

I sleep with a satin scarf on to keep my twist from going in strange directions in my sleep.

I have only been doing this for a month but it has actualy made a difference in the health of my hair.

My routine use to be: On Tuesdays, I'd condition wash with Suave Lavendar conditioner, followed by conditioning with Suave Humectant. I'd then apply a leave-in (either Cornrows & Co Sweet Orange Conditioner, Kemi Oyl Pro Gro Lotion or Abba Nourishing Leave-On), put my hair in big twists to dry overnight, then wear a twist out for a few days. On Fridays, I'd do a clarifying wash with a mixture of 1 part lemon juice to 2 parts of Suave Lavendar conditioner, followed by conditioning with the Suave Humectant conditioner, and follow that with a deep conditioner, like Suave 2-minute Recovery Deep Conditioner or Redken All Soft Heavy Cream. I'd leave the deep conditioner on for about a half hour, apply my leave-in, then twist my hair with CDHHB.

Now, I'm really trying to leave my hair alone as much as possible, so I'm wearing my 2-strand twists for about 10 days, a twist-out for a couple days, then do my clarifying/deep conditioning/twisting routine every two weeks. I still use the Suave Lavender conditioner, Suave Humectant, and the Suave 2-minute Recovery Deep Conditioner (I'm the unofficial Suave spokesperson; they really should be sending me a check, now that I think about it....). The leave-in I've settled on is the Abba Nourishing (I LOVE this stuff). I do my twists dry, with no additional product. Every other day or so, I'll smooth some Kemi Oyl Shea Butter Pomade over my twists, paying particular attention to the ends for moisture and shine. If I want my twists to lay in a different direction, I'll spray it with Kemi Oyl Conditioning Spray. This makes them easier to coax into a new direction, and fluffs them up some.

ETA: I almost forgot - I always wear a satin scarf whenever I'm laying down, even if I'm just laying down to watch TV.

I don't always sleep in a bonnet or a scarf but I do sleep on my satin pillowcase regardless.

I wash with detangling shampoo (Creme of Nature) and deep condition every two weeks under a warm dryer for 30 minutes (ORS Hair Mayonnaise).

On a weekly basis I'll rinse with conditioner (Pantene Hydrating Curls). My twists last a week...fros/puffs are indefinite but I have to freshen them up every morning with water and a plastic cap so I don't have bedhead, with twists it's easy I just take off the scarf and go. Every other day no matter the style I'll run my hands over my hair with a dolop of CD HHB, Mimosa or Marguerite's Magic depending on what I get my hands on first. I'm actually very generous with all three these days and my hair is soaking it up, in the warmer months I apply very little if any product at all.

I'm trying to figure out a way to keep my twist-outs for at least a week, usually after sleeping on them for one night, they are so jacked I have to rinse them out :huh , tonite I'll bobby pin them down, if that doesn't work, oh well.....

When wearing a puff, I conditioner wash every morning, apply leave-in and either shake and go or finger comb. Twice a week I deep condition with olive oil and commercial conditioner.

When wearing twists. I deep condition before twisting, rinse with plain water every 2-3 days, conditioner wash once a week and deep condition when I take them down. My twist last from 7 to 10 days.

I use a homemade hair butter mixed with ORS twist and lock gel to twist.

For conditioner washes I am currently using Daily Defense but I am a PJ and have tons of conditioners to choose from.

ETA - I sleep on a satin pillow case. Sometimes I use as scarf but I doesn't stay on all night...
