Jazi, how much does it cost? I want at least neck length twists. I'll probably do braids or twists for Spring and Summer.

Okay her prices vary and can be pricey. Her price can range from $240 to $300 and this include maintenance on the your hair. The neck length would be about $260 I believe.

Inky, thanks for starting this thread. I've been looking for a good place for a while.

I'm going to call both Jaha and Twist It Sista to try to get an appointment this weekend. I have a job interview on Tuesday and I want to look sharp. :thumbsup
No problem! Let us know which salon you went to, and how it turned out. I have YET to go to a salon. I'm waiting til I have a little more length, then I'll probably go and get a good cut. :cen

Ladies, I had my consultation today. I decided to go with the afro twists. She put one in to see what it would look like...cute! I told them my hair goal is to grow a few more inches then wear my hair in a puff. Luckily the "receptionist" happens to be the natural hair expert. So I think I'll like this salon. Don't know if I'm the type to get my hair done all the time. But I wouldn't mind braids/twists during the warmer months.

    Thanks Jazitones for the recommendation.

Kim is who who I'm recommending in particular. I went there to get my hair two-strand twisted, san extensions. It was $60, but I paid an extra $10 to have it washed, conditioned and combed out at the salon. She was great with my hair. She's transitioning herself I believe, or recently Big Chopped (I can't remember which, she had kinky twist extensions at the time.) Kim was so gentle with my hair. She gave me compliments on my hair. I'm used to hearing more negative comments, and I didn't get any of that. THe atmosphere is chill, they have lots of movies and DVDs to watch and everyone is SOO friendly. And I really like my hair.

    China,
Did you get extensions? How long did it take? I can't believe you got your hair done for $60.

Nah, no extensions. I'm trying to leave em alone.lol If you want to add extensions you can bring the hair in with you though. They advise you to wash your hair before coming and to bring the hair with you.

Thanks for this info. I've been looking for one with reasonable prices and good work. Thanks again.
