Butter are considered part of the oil phase right?

yes butters are apart of the oil phase....you will notice that if you melt them they turn to oil!!

How did you come to these ingredients and what in the world is a phase lol? Does everyone use this phase or is it just something for beginners?
Thanks

When you make a cake you don't just throw everything in a bowl all at once you do it in phases or steps. You have your wet ingredients and your dry ingredients.
Sometimes things need to be added at certain times like you would not add your fragrance oil or essential oils right after you have heated your oils and they are still hot the heat will make your fragrance evaporate.
These instructions are basic.

I am at work so forgive me for breaking up my reply.
Some ingredients are added to the oil phase some are added to the water. Example is borox it will not disolve in oil so you must add it to the water.
As you learn about ingredients you will learn the percentage to use them at, temperature to heat them to and which phase to mix them in.

Does this help with making butters too? I was going to take a classes soon, but I want to get this started asap and I want to find some more classes. I want to try this next weekend and have this as a project. I will try not to be discouraged if it does not work.
What books do you recommend as well?
I see in some of the products KBB uses she uses Vegetable Wax, what is your opinion on that? Oh and Natural Enzymes. Where am I supposed to get that from and Vitamin E as well. What do these things do as far as lotion, creams and butters are concerned?
What a bout Aloe Butter? I am going to try to do some research on Apricot Kernal Oil, Black Willowbark Extract and stuff like that. I know nothing about this stuff lol. I do want to use Vitamin E for my Lotions and Butter though. I know for sure that I want to use that.
Thanks
I am not trying to copy her, but her products are great for my skin. Well he lotions and butters and I want to create my own.
