This one failed her road test in April so I have to wait another month before a retest. My Majesty is parked right behing my place and I occasionally take it on the road though I risk getting caught but cops though.

Hey all, I got my motorcycle license last June through the MSF course, so this summer I'm looking to buy my first bike ... I bought my helmet back when I was relaxed so now that my hair is big and natural(!!) there's no way I'm gettin that bad boy on my head. lol

I let my hair grow over the winter and now it's pretty full. My helmets fit tight even with my scarf wrapped tight. I'm going to cut my hair off again. That's my excuse for the cut and I'm sticking to it

At Kari, I failed a couple of times but rode anyway. I finally broke down and took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation riding course.
A good day on the spectrum.

Hello my fellow nappy riders! Riding season is already in full swing for me. I finally bought a new helmet yesterday. Now I need to experiment and see what styles fit in this one. In case anyone is interested Motorcycle-Superstore.com is another good site for ordering gear. As a warning - if you plan to order riding pants DO NOT trust the size charts. All of the pants run very small. I'm typically a 2/4 in jeans but in riding pants I'm closure to a 8/10/12. Crazy I now.
My thanks and appreciation go to the lovely one who PANKED me!

I got a new modular full face helmet (because of my glasses), a Zox helmet, cheap yet surprisingly good according to research I've done. A couple of years ago I did some more research to see if I was taking my life into my own hands by going cheap on helmets and after reading this article (sorry it's a long read) I felt better. Basically, as long as the helmet meets the standards that it says it meets (whether DOT, Snell or otherwise), it's a matter of it fitting well, you liking it and how much you're willing to pay for it. In fact, Snell rated helmets aren't necessarily the best, the American Medical Association says they transfer too much G-Force to the head on impact (because Snell rated helmets are harder to prevent them being peirced though).

This year I WILL be getting my license!!1

    http://motorcyclesafety.illinoisstate.edu/programs.asp

From what I understand most states have this program so check and see. It is only $20 and if you want you can get that back at the end but they ask that you donate it so you can still use it as a tax write off.

Anyway I have always LOVED motorcycles and every man I have ever dated has owned one. Never knew why I just never got one myself. Last year I decided to go ahead and get my license but then all the stuff that happened with my mom and my son I never got a chance.

My boyfriend ride a Honda VT 1800. I haven't decided what I want I know it will be a while before I can get anything but I have looked at the Shadow and the Rebel.

I have yet to find a helmet that fits my head and hair LOL!! Even looked at men's helmets.

$20.00 for the course? In Georgia, the class is Between $200.00 (weekday classes) and $250.00 (weekend) and you get NO refund. In Georgia, they don't accept certificates from other states (they're in it for the money).

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow. Can't wait!

Oh, had a great ride into work today. I pray the ride home is just as nice.

See you ladies on the rode

Same thing here in VA. Even with that price there's still a huge waiting list. I got in a couple years ago as a standby.

    Default I cut my hair!

Before. Hair is a lot longer than the pic suggests. It's not combed or picked out.

After. I feel better and lighter. No helmet hair for me!

Now if I could lose 100lbs, I'll be tight! (we need a short hair smilie)
A good day on the spectrum.
