I'm just curious. From what I have read Dr. Cornwell is the one who discovered the SL technique. Is this true? Because as I was browsing/surfing the net I came across some interesting photo's. I see that the Massai and Samburu tribes in Africa have been locing their hair for years using small braids. Now from the photos that I have come across their hair really does look like BL's (from what I have read only the male warriors braid their hair.) O.K. the technique in which they start the locs are different, but in the end isn't the outcome the same? Really small locs.

NOTE: I am in no way, shape or form knocking anyone with SL's/BL's. I think they are really pretty. I'm just stating an obvious fact. If I am wrong, someone please clarify this for me..

If the picture that I have posted doesn't show visit my Fotki album, I have more there.

Love the pics in your album. I have Sisterlocks but I know there is nothing new under the sun. Everything we do today has been done before and usually by the first peoples of the world.

The men are too gorgeous and their hair is phenomenal!!!!

    From one of her book:
She saw someone doing this technique and was curious about it. She went home and tried it on herself.
She tried many times on her hair and her sister's until she finally find the perfect methods for her type of hair and others--basically it's like she first find gold in it's raw form, then clean and polish it to become SL.
Maybe someone can to quote directly from the book?
