I have been curious about Sista Locs as well, and after doing a bit of research I found out that they are temporary locs. They are usually done at any Braiding Salon and they look authentic.
I think that you will love them.Final Touch Up 4/05

Not sure what Sista Locs are but Sisterlocks are NOT temporary locs.
Denny, there are a lot of threads on here about Sisterlocks. Try doing a search on this site and you'll get all kinds of information.
Best wishes!

i dont have sister locs but i am curious where u got the information that they are temporary and "authentic" looking. sisterlocs and sista locs must be two different things. what u are talking about sounds like loc extensions.

I have Sisterlocks and they are not temporary locks. Simply put Sisterlocks are very thin interwoven locks. They are maintained by a sisterlock consultant using a tool or you may take a class to learn how to maintain (retighten) them yourself once your locks have settled. Some people say they have more versatility when it comes to styling. If you are considering getting sisterlocks I would suggest that you do your research first. HTH

Additionally you can go to the Sisterlock's Home Page to get information as well as a Yahoo Group called Lockitup that was set especially for people with sisterlocks.
They are not temporary locs at all.

Yes, Ya'll the post I made was inacurate. I now know that Sista Locs are not temporary and I found a site that has the information. Sorry girl. I'm like 2 days into the site. Now, it seems like all the information is finally being posted.
So what are the Locs called that are temporary ones? I wanted to try those.

Are you talking bout temporary locs with one's own hair, or are you talking about loc extensions? If the former, I have no idea what you are talking about. If the latter, then let me recommend this thread--> http://www.nappturality.com/forum/in...howtopic=59782 Hope this helps.
