I have braids in right now. Despite keeping products to a minimum and shampooing with diluted shampoo every two weeks and using an african pride braid spray on the braids only, I am left with this crazy grey buildup all over my scalp. No matter how much I wash my braids, it won't come out!!
What techniques would you all recommend (for washing my hair) for when I take down my braids tomorrow?

Edited for clarification.

I think clarifying(ACV rinse) and using a scalp scrubber will really help with the buildup

Dilute a "clarifying shampoo", like Origin's No Deposit, and add about a teaspoon of baking soda.

You only need about a teaspoon diluted with water or mix it with your shampoo. Only use the tips of your fingers please and not your nails. There is no failure in Jesus, so I am Sucker Free!

another one for clarifying shampoo.
I had build up once and tried acv, baking soda, castille soap, etc. - all separately! :P
Nothing worked 'til I tried regular old fashioned shampoo.
