I found a great spritz !
I got some Hesh Shikakai oil & decided to mix it with water to spray on my flat twists.I'd used it in the past as a hair oil & gotten excellent results. It made my hair very soft & manageable so I decided to try it as a spritz. I have tried a few braid sprays but they seem to cause frizz & be so water based & without much oil that they don't really keep my hair moist in dry winter air. They contain very little oil. Anyhoo the shikakai oil works like a charm & doesn't cause greasy buildup. I use a mix that's about 3/4 shikakai oil & the rest water. My hair stays moiturized, shiny & soft. The oil smells a lot like Indian curry but it fades fairly fast. Here's where I got mine

Before applying it I had washed & conditioned my hair & applied a mix of Qhemet's Olive hydrating balm & amla heavy cream. I'd also used some Taliah Waajid protective mist bodifier as a leave in before the Qhemet.Did BC Feb 2009 after 28 yrs of curly perms. Ditched wig June 2010 ,wearing flat twists & puff.Avatar me & my new BAA. Use Kinky Curly in summer & Qhemet or Shea Moisture Yucca in fall & winter. This winter is very harsh & caused dryness & breakage so I went back to wigs as protective style & using grease for first time since the 70s : Dax & Blue Magic.
