Ok, aparently I haven't been the first to think up this genious idea. I'd like to go on a green diet for a week or 2. Starting February 1st.

I want to do all green veggies w/ green spices only (rosemary, parsley, sage, etc. - no butter or salt), fruies (gree apples & grapes) and green tea. My only exclusions will be a sugar substitute for tea and a little italian or balsamic dressing for flavor on my veggies. I'll be creating some type of journal. I believe I can do this... I went Vegan for 3 months and i felt great (I'm still vegetarian, but a lazy one... this year will be different..)

    Who's with me?

What the heck....I'll join you for a week or two. I did something similiar by accident with orange foods. The beta carotene had me a little orangish-gold for a month. Would the chlorophyll in green veggies do the same?

I recommend anyone who joins has easy access to a bathroom. And don't eat too much cooked broccoli.
    It'll give you funktified gas.

    Leek Broth
    2 pounds of leeks
they tend to have a lot of dirt and sand so clean well, the bottom parts
cut off the dark green leaving the white and pale green portion
put in pot with water and bring to a boil
    then let simmer 20-30 minutes
    drink 1 cup

For the leeks that were discarded
add olive oil and lemon juice
    and chopped parsely
    season with salt and pepper

ooh good recipe! Oh, don't I know about the Brocoli.. I had tofu and brocolli like twice in one week from a chinese restaurant... I was cramping and gasing like crazy! I'm keeping borcoli to a minimum.....
I need a recommendation for breakfast because veggies just won't cut it. I may do scrambled tofu w/ spinach.

Ok, so who's in? Tomorrow's the day!

    ok, I started!

I had scrambled tofu (w/ a tiny bit of olive oil & sesame oil) w/ a bunch of spinach. I'm incorporating tofu for b-fast so it will have me full until lunch time. I use a teeny tiny bit of natural salt and some sage (LOVE sage!)... I'm having green tea w/ stevia for a morning drink. You shouldn't shouldn't shock the system w/ anything cold (according to Queen Afua)...

I bought herb salad mixture w/ baby spinach for lunch. Cucumbers and green olives to throw in my salad. Along w/ a Diet Green by Arizona.

I have a green apple, kiwi and a pickle for a snack.

    Green can be exciting!

I'm taking pictures, so I'll creat an album soon.

For dinner? Hmm, maybe asparagus and zuchini? We'll see...
I spent 2 hours in Walmart venturing through the isles. *l*

Count me in. I willl like to do the green diet for a week. However, I will not be able to start until Monday, Feb.5. I am going to a super bowl party and it will just too tempting not to eat all the good food that will be there.
