I came across this comb/brush on the Naturally You magazine website. I was wondering if any has tried it out. It claims to work wonders on afro-american hair types. The site is Kakakiki comb

The comb costs ten dollars. I read the testimonials but if anyone has actually used this comb for detangling, I'd much rather hear personal experiences with it. I wouldn't mind paying ten dollars for a comb that does what it claims and doesn't break on my hair.

Your post is timely. I saw this on Treasuredlocks.com earlier this week and was going to start a post about it. I also want to know if anyone here has tried it.

This is a great komb brush. I use it on me and my daughter and it is the best hair utensil I have ever came across. We both have very thick hair so I always finger comb b4 I put the comb in, thereafter it just glides right through the hair. It works best for us when our hair is wet or moisturized and only less than a 1/4 of shed hair is in the comb. This is way better than using the denman brush and plus it is like a massager on your scalp

I defintely would recommend it and it is worth the money b/c you are saving most of your hair compared to using other combs.

Being a nappy myself I am always looking for something to make detangling easier. I think I will try it. It is the cost of a decent lunch so I won't be out much and if it is worth it then I will have spent my money well.

I'm about to get one myself.

Did a search, and on all of the threads about it, the majority of people who had actually tried it were happy with it.

If it works on my hair, I may even be able to forgive them for that theme song...

I found out about this product towards the middle of last year, and I have been using it ever since. I threw out all of my other combs and brushes and this is the only product that I use to detangle my hair with. I know, that it looks a little bit odd, in the picture on the website, but it is actually very gentle on the hair. I have medium-to-coarse naturally curly hair, and this does the trick in keeping my hair detangled, and doesn't cause me to lose a lot of hair in the process, either.

This product is designed for all Black hairtextures, and it is a combination of both a brush and comb, which makes it a timesaver as well, in my opinion.

My daughter has very long, thick, kinky/curly hair - I am not sure if I trust this brush to get through that without snagging her hair.
