Hi Samme, I have tried Greg Juice, it worked well for me in the summer and it smells great, by the time I ran out it was beginning to get a little cold outside. Ordered some more, used it but did not seem to work in the cold months..left my locs feeling dry with a film on them.

no not like buildup, I think it was the veg. glycerine, i'm thinkin the effect is different in the cold weather becaue when it was warm and humid my locs felt fine. Try it your experience may be totally different from mine.

I love GJ, but I no longer have a need for it. I tried Frank too, but I wasn't a fan of the smell. GJ has a light citrusy scent, Frank is a lot more herbal smelling, very masculine. Back when I suffered from dry locs, a spritz of Greg would revive my hair, leaving my locs soft and pliable, with a light sheen.
If you don't get much feedback, try searching for Oyin on the loc boards. I'm remember there being a lot of positive comments about Greg Juice.

I'll be three months loc'd this Friday and I had to back off on using the Frank juice because it was making my twists unravel. I do like how it makes them feel so I'm holding off until my locs are more mature.

I started using Greg Juice about a 2 years ago. I bought a sample pack...GJ, shine and define, whipped pudding, and honey hemp conditioner. I used them all, but not for too long. I thnk I ordered a big bottle of greg juice after that, but then began getting into homemade products. I make my own spritzes now, but GJ worked well for me. I never liked using too many products. I would bring the bottle to work with me and spritz all throughout the day.

I love the Frank Juice (same formula as the GJ, just scented w/frankincense and myrhh)! I use it as a conditioner after I shampoo and now that I'm into my 10th month, I can use it as a daily spritz. Using it as a daily spritz my first 8 months or so caused a lot of unraveling.
