So as you may have noticed by my 'ticker' I'm getting married in 3 months. The thing is I'm also 4 months post-chemical fire cream. Now my question is what on earth am I going to do with my hair on the day!!!????
At the moment I have about 2 inches or so of new growth and I have no intention of going back to the CFC (although my fiancé' thinks I can't do it..LOL) In addition to this my hair is very thick and I have about 8-10 inches of relaxed ends that I'm not ready to part with yet, although I'm falling in love with the look and feel of my new napps, so I may just BC sooner than planned.
All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks. :wub:My Fotki

Congrats on the nuptuals...mine is in October and I was wondering the same thing...
If you're usure, braids are always a fail-safe. The hair comes in different textures (my friend has some that's wavy at the ends - it's really pretty), so you have the option.
If you're ready for it, BC and rock the TWA or mini comb-coils with a pretty hair accessory that's fitting for the occasion.

Now there's the rub. I've never had braids before! Believe it or not! I'm probably the only female I (and probably you) know who has never had any hair extension. Reason being my hair has always been long and thick so I've been able to do box braids and cornrows without extensions. So in all honesty I'm little hesitant to go with the braids and the weave. But thanks for offering your advice. I may change my mind and try the braids. Tho I may have to cut a lot of my hair off because they would be to long otherwise and it's too dang hot in July!
Thanks again. ^_^My Fotki

Completely forgot about the heat factor. LOL. Definitely too hot for a weave.
If you do decide to braid, for the love of God, make sure they go easy on your edges. Other than that, you should be fine.<div align="center">my blog - Instant/Vintage

Congrats ladies, both of you. Since curls are considered romantic I like to suggest a twist out, a strawset or spiral curls with the soft spikes.
If you plan to wear a crown you may consider flattwist (see my sig) All of them excelent transitiong styles.
Wishing you a beautyful day and lots of LOVE!

Those are great ideas. I was thinking of doing some kinky twists, too. My dress is fairly simple, so I have to "bring it" with the hair.<div align="center">my blog - Instant/Vintage

I think I'm leaning towards some flat twists in the front and maybe a ponytail with some spiral curls or a phony-pony (just in case I cut this mess off)
I'll be sure to post pictures to let you know what I decide. I may even try out some styles and post to my fotki to so I can compare options. My Fotki

Ladies check this out: http://www.nappturality.com/forum/in...howtopic=23154
Also if you search the word "wedding" in the main hair section you'll find lots of photos and ideas. Some ladies have even posted their own wedding day photos and they looked lovely.
Congrats and good luck to you Yekinae and Mz. B.
