Okay, Spring is right around the corner and a lot of people are contemplating spicing up their locs with a little or a lot of color!
What are some of the best and/or worse products that you've used for coloring your locs and please, state your reason(s) why.
I've use products that contain no harsh chemicals (i.e., without ammonia, peroxide or alcohol), however, when trying to lighten my locs, the color just doesn't quite penetrate through. (Just in case, anybody is curious to know which product I'm referring to, it's Robert Craig Salon Products. I've used the Chocolate Brown and it's the bomb!)
But now that Spring is around the corner, I would really like to lighten some of my locs without causing any damage.
Any preferences...any why?

I think the name of the product is Matrix Biolage hair coloring. They have an awesome color line but you have to be an professional to buy.
I really like my hair color. It's darker thn honey blonde but really pretty. I believe the hair color was an 8L or 8M.
