Just Started My Locs

I'm starting the process with 2 strands, but I was apprehensive about cutting my hair, and the ends are still relaxed so my loctician just rodded the ends and everytime I go to retwist shes going to trim the ends eventually ridding my hair of the perm...

The only thing I'm worried about is the size of the twists, they seem so big but she said the actual sections (parts) are small but my hair is really thick. I dont want my locs too big!

Since its summer I dyed it a copper color... took 3 BOXES of color... goodness.

haven't created an album yet but thats in the works.... Comments of any sort appreciated.

The color is great.

Can't see the roots, but generally the size of the root bed is what you can expect your locs to expand/condense to.

Your locs look really nice. I started mine today too. I wish I had thought of rodding the permed ends.

But I'm okay with mine. You seem to have more than me as far as I can tell from the picture, and i was going for the medium sized locs. Did your loctician tell you how many you had? That info would probably help you to better understand what size they'll be. ( Or rather that info might help some of our fellow lockers to answer yoiur question better.) Good luck

No I didnt ask how many I have.. When I go for a retwist I will make sure I do that. Luvnme how many do you have?

I have about 82 locs now. I lost a lot of hair near my temples due to some braids a few months back. so I may have a couple more dreads that i will start in that area later. Before I began mine I kinda studied the loc albums that had size that i was going for and i mimicked the way that their locs were grided from their frontal and side view photos.
