No heating tools = Massive hair growth, less shampooing and condition every now and then = better growth, After a good scalp cleansing you should never just start styling if you want to minimize the shrinkage. Oh and always embrace your hair and love it and cherish it. YOu do this your hair will grow, grow, grow and be extremely healthy.

I know this is a what-not-to-do thread, but I wanted to make my own thread... it won't let me. :/

Can someone help me with my smelly scalp issue? I must be doing something wrong.

When you are doing Deep Conditioning treatments, do not think just because one person you may have seen alternated each week you may have do the system. You might have to do deep condition and protein treatment in the same day.
    1. Do not protein overload
    2. DO not let anyone define your hair whether it is family, friends or strangers
    3. Do not listen to "haters"
4.Do not become to obsess with hair growth

"Stop...think about...let it simmer.... The more you try to define, the more you realize that some things in this life of ours are indefinable....I am one of those people that one word can not describe me in my entirety. But if I would describe myself...it would be indefinable!"

Do NOT Take too many vitamins! Only take recommended dosages of vitamins for your lifestyle. Overdosing on vitamins can have really bad health effects which can cause serious problems with your health.

Nice to see this thread again...I still stand by what I said in 2008. (edited to update language and get rid of codes)

I know it's hard not to shout out the good news to all and sundry (especially when you're new to nappiness) but the mindf*** that is the black hair Matrix cannot be undone in a single conversation. Often the best commentary is none at all...just keep on doing what you do and let other people do what they do.

    - Unless you're doing a relaxer commercial, do NOT assume that you have to change or hide your hair texture for a job. You may have to change your hair STYLE, but you don't have to change your hair TEXTURE for ANY job.

    - Do NOT underestimate the value (yes, I said it) of shrinkage. It's the third dimension, the z-axis, of natural hairstyling. You can get completely different looks depending on whether you style wet, damp, or dry. Learn to think about the properties of natural hair as advantages instead of disadvantages.
Hello, 2021. Glad to see you. Hope you're bringing us goodness and light this year!

Do not tug and pull at those little single strand knots. You will tear your hair up, cause split ends and make things worse. Snip them off with some sharp hairdressing scissors.
