I took my box braids down saturday and now I have about nine or ten plaits. I'm getting ready to do a moisturizing treatment and then I will put my braids back in.

I am so happy to see this thread. I just decided to stop putting extensions in my hair as my hairline is suffering and my hair is drying out. I asked my friedn to hook me up with some cornrows which she said she will do on Sunday.

My hair is growing. Not getting any shedding or breakage and my ends are strong. No problems with edges, because I rotate my braids and loose them when ever I feel like it. I put a henna and indigo in my hair and I deep condition at least once a week. My hair is looking pretty healthy right now. Anybody got any updates. I think I have definitely retained all my growth. :P

ok. i just started. i took down my twist extensions on monday. shampooed and conditioned my hair. i stretched my hair over night and cornrowed my hair on tuesday oct 16, 2007. I use baby shampoo, vo5 green tea therapy conditioner. and then i mix a little conditioner and jamaican mango and lime oil together and put in my hair and scalp and let air dry. i will do this until christmas and post my results also. i will probably continue this the folowing year.

Hey everyone sorry it's been a long time since I've given an update. I've been back to cornrowing since late August and my hair is getting thicker and I reached my goal of having APL stretched and shoulder length unstretched....my next goal is to have close to APL unstretched hopefully I will accomplish this by summer. The cornrows have been saving me because school and my daughter (who is crawling now) are keeping me very busy!

yassy- have you trimmed your hair? I try to trim every 3 months or so maybe 6 depending on how I'm treating my hair....when I do this my hair doesn't seem to be at a standstill
    My little girl is here!
