    Unhappy

Hello everyone, my sister in law gave me a bottle of 7 Natural Oil that she got from Walmart. I can't remember the name. I hesitate using it because I am not sure if it's good for my locs. Has anyone ever used any of the oils in a bottle that you can get from Walmart and other stores? and if so how did it do your hair?

I have used it in the past. I had the African Royal oil. I also used African Pride, when I was relaxed. I used to like the way that it smelled. I stopped using those brands, because they contain mineral oil and petrolium jelly. It was ok, but nothing to get excited about. I don't know anything about using them on locs, especially since I am only one month into the locing process.

I say try a teensy bit of it, and see how you like it. Everyone's hair is different.

if you list the ingredients people might be able to offer some advice even if they haven't used the specific product.

i've never tried this oil. you could try it and see if it heavy on your hair. all the oils and herbs and herbs sound fine. the cyclomethicone is used as the ingredient which is supposed to make the hair appear shiny or glossy and supposedly help with frizzies. depending on the info you find, it is helpful or harmful.

Well I surely appreciate everyone for all your input on the oil...I may just try it out and see what happens...if it appears to be doing something I don't like, then I will stop using it. If anyone else has any other info, please don't hesitate to let us know. Thanks all!

I used to use it also, and even though it smelled very good, it did nothing for my hair, so I stopped using it.
