this morning I turned on the radio midway through this interview. This man (didn't know who it was at the time) was talking about how he was sorry had to take Shamara (sp?) away from her hair stylist to do this interview. and he knows how black women are with there hair. So he said he knew she was a little mad that she had to leave because she looked like a witch  and something about perm.
Shamara: um NO this is my natural hair, I don't have no perm
HIM: what? <_< it's soo straight.
Shamara: it's blown out but my hair is naturally curly.
HIM: so you got indian in your blood.
HER: um I dunno
HIM: so you mixed
HER: we all mixed
HIM: **stunned**
some other stuff and the she says she'll be back wit wyclef  I was a little shocked that he was saying things like that. I thought his mind was a little more elevated than that. hmmAKA Empress Danielle

:icon_headshake: @ the ignorance. Not surprised, though. Just because Wyclef makes "positive" music and rocks the locs doesn't mean he's all the way there, yet. I'm guessing he was stunned because the host didn't take delight in him saying she had "indian" hair, which I'm sure most black women with hair like hers would probably appreciate and find complementary.

 I just wanna know when will everyone stop asking those dumb quesitons. Seems a little elementary to me, like once you've grown and experienced some things, you would think the whole hair thing would be the last thing on a person's mind, especially for someone like Wyclef. Oh well, I guess I put too much stock in him.... :dunno:
