I just bought a new dryer, and the delivery men would not hook it up because the existing pipe coming out of the wall was plastic. Fire hazard. <_< So I'm replacing that pipe with an aluminum one now. The only thing is that I can't figure out how to do it. It seems so simple. All I need to do is remove the old pipe first, then stick in the new one. I tried to just pull the old one out of the wall, and it rips to pieces. I looked at where it meets the outside vent, but don't know if I should take the vent off, or how, for that matter.
Anyone have any tips or advice--on exactly how to remove and replace the old pipe?vod.themarchingnetwork.com -- Clips of HBCU marching bands and others

does all the plastic have to be out? If not, cut down the plastic, leaving enough to attach the alumininum and secure with aluminum tape.
