I love to color my locs but I'm finding it more and more difficult to get all the dye out of my hair. Anyone have any suggetions on how I can remedy this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You will have to rinse under running water for quite some time.

You might as well prop on the edge of the sink and let it flow....

    That's what I do...

Thanks PrincessDrRe, I was hoping there would be an easier way.

I normally roll up a towel and prop my head on it (like a pillow).

I squeeze my locs and move my head a bit from time to time....

Squeezing helps get the water to move through the locs...but the running water bit... yeah. Time consuming...but it does work eventually...

...and look at the edge of the water for the tell-tale signs of there still being color in your hair. The water may have a tint to it...or...a filmy bubbly like look.

Yes, please, please please make sure you get all the dye out of your locs!!! I lost my beautiful middle of my back length locs due to not throughly getting all the dye out. I was coloring to cover grey. . .anywho the last dye job I literally watched them fall out by handfulls!! This time I will keep the grey - I've earned it

I just left the salon 2 hours ago...only to discover that the lady did not rinse my hair properly. My head was still full of color. It took a fifteen minute rinse, three shampoos (followed by ten minute rinses) and a deep condition (still in progress). The only reason I have not went back to the shop and kicked her aXX is because she told me her father died yesterday. I am assuming she was simply not focusing. She has colored my hair before, and I have never had this problem. I am official through with color!!!!

Thanx ladies. I wish I could say that I'm done with color but I don't care too much for my natural color and colors other than brown brings out the beauty of my locs a lot more. I will do my best to rinse rinse rinse though.
