Big Chop Newbee

Hi everyone I just wanted to introduce myself and to say thank you to all for providing me with the best information out for women like myself who have been riding the fence in regards to going natural. I must admit this in deed was more of a mental thing for myself, but thanks to the nappturality website making that decision became a lot easier for me, so after going 4 1/2 months without a chemical fire cream and being feed up with two completely different textures(which by this time had starting breaking and shedding really bad) I made the decision that I will not let others continue to talk me out of what I wanted to do. So with the support of my husband and two kids on 12/22/07 I committed to doing a BIG CHOP. Shocked at myself and that all 9 inches of relaxed hair was now gone I felt like I had truly joined the ranks of becoming an all natural girl. Not to mention that I was scared stiff that the day I choose to do this was the day of my son's 7th birthday party. (we all know truly how honest kids can be.) All in all he was not one bit worried about my hair being gone because he and my husband truly love my new look which for now is a TWA about 2 inches length. I did not mention that I found this site 4 months into what at the time I did not realize was called transitioning, After discovering this site it took me about a week to make the decision to big chop and about a week to get the nerve to actually go in and get the cut. And I don't regret my decision AT ALL. Hey Dee I will definitely become a subscriber your doing an awesome job, ladies Dee really is not asking for much, I spent well over 20 bucks trying new products that I more than likely throw away because it does not meet my natural hair needs. Enough of that thank you all for the great info.
