Oh my goodness! I cant believe this!

Just when I was thinking I would have to settle for a mediocre salary...I just read somewhere that black women make the least $$...so I wasnt gonna get my hopes up about breaking a certain #...especially in light of the fact that Im still only 24 years old, never saw a day in a college class...

But oh my goodness! I just got a job with an Aerospace company making $65,000 a freakin year! 24 year old white boys dont even make that much! :rainfro

I am so excited and nervous!

Who woulda thunk it?

oh AND i got the job as a shot in the dark from a careerbuilder posting! crazeeee!

Im a Graphic and Web Designer. This job, Ill be working in Macromedia Flash, creating online training programs for people who buy the companies products. :razz

I am happy for you. I am the same age as you, in the same line of work, working on a degree, and desperately looking for a new job in the DC area. I know my BLESSING will come but it gets really frustrating. This is encouraging. Thanks for posting your good news.

Yeah, I have previous experience...Ive been doing it since I graduated HS. First as an assistant, then as a teacher in 2 different vocational colleges.

5 years of experience total...thats usually considered "equivalent" to a degree.

I guess as long as you REALLY want it, and you go out and show or fake the confidence...its there!

I work for a gov't contractor tasked with doing electronic publishing for the Army. My duties range from working with HTML, XML, ASP programming, to graphics, document mark-up etc....
