these are pretty popular. You see them on all of the hipster websites (urbanoutfitters.com) and other artsy/trendy decor websites

i got mine from Ikea. I think i paid like $4-$7 (can't remember exactly cuz i bought a heap of stuff at once for my apt at the time). So it wasn't until 3 weeks ago i put it on my walls. Ummmmmm... them suckas are all falling slowly yet surely. before and after this photo i spent most of my time having to keep re-smoothing them so they wont fall down. Now, i just give up. some are half sticking, one it stuck in a part of my blind and it's been chillin there for 2 weeks. I can't. I'm through! :icon_headshake:

So i'm thinking my best solution might be to put lil pieces of tape behind it for it can remain adhesive. Also, my walls are smooth and clean, so that's not the problem either

It's cute, it's trendy, but it can also be a nuisance. Just thought to share! ^_^

    Peace

I was really excited when I saw the pic and less excited when I read your post. They look very cute but they sound like a pain. I wonder if anyone else has had better luck with these.

hey diva! long time no read!

i hope someone else may have had better luck than me. i wondered if i waited too long to use them :dunno: , or is it the heat from the walls making them unglue (since the sun does beam hard on my wall) :dunno:

i hope me taping it will solve it. i'm not used to white bare walls and this is my only current solution to amuse me

I have some and mine stay up without a porblem (target, been up for over a year). considering my 4-year old Godson helped me put them up, I can't provide you with some facy little trick.

I would suggest using something like re-positionable scrapbooking glue/tape

I think it might be Ikea's quality. I used to love Ikea, but I am getting tired of them now. They use to be great prices with awesome quality products. Now they just have great prices.

A little spray adhesive should do the trick, those are very pretty

i remember in high school i wanted my name graffiti'd on my bedroom wall like on the music vid w/Erykah. my mom didn't care, but she suggested for me to get someone to do it on canvas so if i moved (like i have) i can take it with me. the problem was i never found a reliable artist <_<

but that can be an option for your daughter :dunno:

Clarke, how about using Wallies to give her a mural? They aren't cheap (the full wall murals) but they are worth it. They come down very easily and I've never had a problem with them coming down.

Is there a way to make your own? I would like to put large inspirational words on my dorm room walls but they have to be able to be removable since you aren't allowed to damage the walls. Any ideas?
